When I was a teenager, I was changing my bedroom decor each time I got bored and had nothing better to occupy my time. Sound familiar? If your teen is anything like I was, helping them choose a classic style of bedroom decor may curb their boredom induced decorating tendencies. Stick with a neutral wall color and let your teenager choose the accessories to make their room reflect their personality. Bedroom accessories are much simpler to change out when it’s time for an update. Today I want to share with you some of my favorite Minimalist room decor for teens.

MINIMALIST ROOM DECOR FOR TEENS
These things are genius, ladies! Not only are wall tapestries visually stunning to look at ( I mean- did you see that watercolor whale??), but they add texture to the room, create a bit of a sound barrier to muffle some of that teenage tunage your kids are cranking out and BEST of all they add the effect of wallpaper with zero commitment. That’s speaking straight to my Minimalist heart, y’all.
I would suggest using these and a pack of these to hang the fabric wall tapestry without damaging your walls. If your fickle teenager decides they don’t like their new wall tapestry next week, simply unhook the tapestry from the wall and move on with your lives. Alternatively, if you’ve ever removed wallpaper then you know all too well that conversation would absolutely not go over well!
Macrame Wall Art
What is it about a dream catcher that makes them so enchanting? I could stare into one for hours! This black one is stunning!
Okay- y’all- is it appropriate for an almost-30-year-old to have pom pom bedding? Cause that has got to be the most adorable thing I’ve seen all day! Well- that and my two littles holding hands and walking down the hallway together.
Unique Plant Holders
Have you heard of air plants? I had one as a kid, but I never understood how cool they were back then. Air plants are as low maintenance as their name implies. Even your forgetful teenager won’t kill these guys. Aren’t they super cute, too??
Simple Patterned Rugs
I’m obsessed with this bold, black and white striped rug, y’all. It would pair perfectly with any color wall or additional accessories. As a teen, I would have fallen all over myself to get my hands on this beautiful pink bohemian style rug.
Minimalist Techie Lights
The right lights can really set the decor mood in a space. These touch lights are perfect for not running up the power bill when your teen wants to stay awake at night well after others have gone to bed, salt lamps are supposed to enhance mood (I’m not a doctor, but what teenager couldn’t use a little assistance in that department, amiright?) and these fairy lights serve double duty as sweet little Christmas lights when the season comes.
What’s your teen’s decor style (other than just messy! LOL)?
